The Tech newsletter for Engineers who want to stay ahead

Tech moves fast, but you're still playing catch-up?

That's exactly why 200K+ engineers working at Google, Meta, and Apple read The Code twice a week.

Here's what you get:

  • Curated tech news that shapes your career - Filtered from thousands of sources so you know what's coming 6 months early.

  • Practical resources you can use immediately - Real tutorials and tools that solve actual engineering problems.

  • Research papers and insights decoded - We break down complex tech so you understand what matters.

All delivered twice a week in just 2 short emails.

HELLO ART PEOPLE!

Surprise! We’re trying a new thing - twice monthly emails.

Even someone like me, who loves to relax with a warm drink and a long read, is feeling like this publication is a bit too long. So for now, you can look forward to reading twice a month, alternating between:

  • Events, opportunities, and advice

  • Artist features, interviews, and listings

Let me know how it goes for you.

Special Announcement: Seeking Column Writers!

We have so enjoyed branching out and writing features in this newsletter, it’s time to put out the word that we’re seeking more contributors to the project!

Are you ready to help build a more diverse arts ecosystem in King County? We’re looking for people with experience writing, interviewing, researching, and working under strict deadlines. If this sounds like you, please reach out to [email protected]. And if this sounds like someone you know, please forward this to them!

Special Announcement: Calling all Teaching Artists!

Do you teach music or art in King County?

For an upcoming newsletter feature, we’re gathering information on teaching artist pay and are seeking input on the range and types of compensation available around the region.

Our goal is to bring some daylight to the options, and show the pros and cons of different types of pay models. Your feedback can be entirely anonymous. This survey is open through the month of April.
